Maritza received her real estate license in 2017 but has worn many hats in the real estate industry since graduating from college. As an agent who is an expert in this local area, she will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise about buying and selling real estate in the Raleigh area. Are you looking to expand your footprint to accommodate the new realities of virtual schooling and working from home? Are you a first-time home buyer looking to be closer to work? Or is this your second home so that you can be closer to your grandkids. It’s not the same everywhere, so you need someone you can trust for up-to-date information.
Right out of college Maritza began her career by establishing a bilingual business center in Raleigh called “La Oficina.” This business catered to the many new Hispanic business owners that needed translation services, bookkeeping and other administrative services. She sold the successful business and continued working with entrepreneurs in business management and with real estate investors in property management. Some of the qualities about Maritza are her attention to detail, accessing urgency needs and finding solutions for interesting situations. And yes, Maritza is bilingual in Spanish and English.
A little bit about her personal life:
Maritza was born in Bogota, Colombia. When she was seven years old her parents moved to Raleigh in the University Park area. As a kid her favorite pastime was riding her bicycle on the brickyard at NC State University, attending Wiley elementary, walking through Cameron Village and going downtown to participate in events like the Raleigh Christmas parade and Pieces of Gold. After graduating from Needham B. Broughton high school, she attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
After college her husband, Josh and she lived in Durham for nine years where they began their family. She homeschooled her two boys for five years and took them to all the different museums, zoos and learning centers in NC and throughout the triangle area. In 2013 they decided to move to the Leesville area in North Raleigh and her kids now attend Leesville Road High School.
